HG 1/144 - MBF-P03 Gundam Astray Blue Frame

The HG 1/144 MBF-P03 Gundam Astray Blue Frame is a Bandai Spirits Gunpla from Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Astray. Piloted by the mercenary Gai Murakumo, this unit is one of the five Astray prototypes developed by the Orb Union.

This High Grade version, at 1/144 scale, reproduces the original appearance of the Blue Frame, before its many subsequent evolutions. Its mainly white armor contrasts with its blue mechanical structure, giving the model an immediately recognizable identity within the Gundam Astray family.

The Blue Frame's design is distinguished by relatively light armor that reveals much of its internal structure. Its compact shoulders, slender legs, and minimalist backpack give it a mobile silhouette, particularly suitable for combat poses.

The iconic equipment of this version is the M68 Cattus 500 mm Recoilless Rifle. This large recoilless cannon can be placed on the shoulder to reproduce a characteristic heavy firing position of the Gundam Astray Blue Frame.

The imposing size of the M68 Cattus immediately transforms the model's silhouette and allows the Blue Frame to be presented as a heavy support unit. The kit's articulation allows the arms to be positioned around the weapon for a stable and convincing firing pose.

The kit also includes a Beam Rifle for medium-range engagements. More compact than the M68 Cattus, it allows the Blue Frame to be presented in a lighter configuration, closer to the standard equipment of Astray prototypes.

A Shield completes its defensive equipment. Installed on the forearm, it can be combined with the Beam Rifle to recreate a versatile combat configuration combining protection and firepower.

For close combat, the model has two Beam Sabers. These weapons allow for varied poses between dueling, quick attacks, and close-range combat, while highlighting the slender silhouette of the Gundam Astray.
