RG 1/144 - RX-93 v Gundam

The RG 1/144 RX-93 ν Gundam, also known as Nu Gundam, is a Bandai Spirits Gunpla from Mobile Suit Gundam: Char’s Counterattack. Piloted by Amuro Ray, this iconic mobile suit stands out with its asymmetrical silhouette, white and dark armor, and six Fin Funnels installed on its back.

This Real Grade version, at 1/144 scale, offers a particularly detailed reproduction of the RX-93. Several shades of white and gray are used on the armor to enhance the visual density of the model, while the numerous part separations highlight its mechanical construction.

The kit features advanced articulation in the shoulders and abdomen. These joints allow the torso to pivot, the shoulders to move forward, and more natural poses when the Nu Gundam uses its Beam Rifle or other equipment.

The shoulder armors have an opening mechanism linked to the internal joints. This system increases the range of motion of the arms while reducing the risk of interference between different parts during combat poses.

The waist relies on several movable blocks to increase leg freedom of movement. The Nu Gundam can thus adopt wide and powerful stances, with knees projected forward or legs spread wide apart.

The legs integrate a Multi-Link Gimmick that causes certain parts of the armor to slide along with the movements of the joints. This mechanism maintains a natural appearance when the knees are sharply bent and highlights the model's mechanical structure.

The backpack houses six detachable Fin Funnels, arranged asymmetrically on the left side. Each unit can be removed individually to represent their deployment and recreate the Nu Gundam's characteristic remote attack system.

The main armament includes a Beam Rifle and a New Hyper Bazooka. The large Shield also incorporates a Beam Cannon and missiles, providing the model with a complete configuration for medium and long-range engagements.

Two Beam Sabers are provided: one is associated with the backpack and the other with the forearm. These weapons allow for varied presentations between shooting, defense, and close combat, while taking advantage of the kit's excellent overall mobility.

With its six Fin Funnels, armor mechanisms, and extensive articulation range, the RG Nu Gundam is a must-have for fans of Amuro Ray, Char’s Counterattack, and Real Grade Gunpla with particularly detailed construction.
