GUNDAM 00 - HG 1/144 - Gundam Throne Eins

The formidable GNW-001 Gundam Throne Eins joins the High Grade lineup in this 1/144 scale HG version from Mobile Suit Gundam 00. Piloted by Johann Trinity, the Throne Eins is the command unit of Team Trinity and specializes in long-range combat and heavy artillery fire.

Its instantly recognizable silhouette is dominated by the imposing GN Launcher mounted on its back. Bandai reproduces its deployment mechanism directly on the kit: the cannon can be placed in firing configuration without parts replacement, allowing easy recreation of one of the Mobile Suit's most iconic poses.

The Gundam Throne Eins also features a GN Beam Rifle for medium-range engagements and two GN Beam Sabers for close-quarters combat. This arsenal perfectly complements its role as a support unit while allowing it to remain effective when the opponent closes the distance.

The model's design incorporates several articulations designed to improve posing despite the volume of its backpack equipment. Movable axes at the thighs and hips, in particular, allow for adjusting the body's position and recreating more natural firing stances.

The Throne Eins can also be combined with the separately sold HG Gundam Throne Drei. The energy cable provided with the Throne Drei can be connected to the Throne Eins to reproduce the spectacular GN High Mega Launcher configuration seen in the series.

Gunpla Zone Tips

The GN Launcher is the main element of this Gunpla and adds significant weight to the rear of the model. Take the time to properly adjust the position of the legs and pelvis during firing poses to maintain good stability.

This kit, dating from 2008, uses an older design than modern High Grades. When handling the backpack and the GN Launcher mechanism, move the elements directly at their axes to avoid excessive stress on the parts.

The large dark surfaces of the Throne Eins gain particular depth with light panel lining. A few touch-ups on the GN Launcher and mechanical details also help reinforce its appearance as a heavy artillery unit.
