MG 1/100 - Gundam AGE-1 Normal

The Gundam AGE-1 Normal joins the Master Grade lineup in a 1/100 scale MG version from Mobile Suit Gundam AGE. The first Gundam piloted by Flit Asuno, the AGE-1 is the starting point of the AGE System and is distinguished by its balanced design combining mobility, firepower, and close combat capabilities.

For its Master Grade rendition, the original design by Kanetake Ebikawa benefits from numerous additional details on the head, shoulders, waist, and legs. The model incorporates an articulated inner frame and an openable cockpit with a Flit Asuno figure seated inside.

The main armament is the DODS Rifle, the iconic weapon of the Gundam AGE-1. Its barrel can be rotated and removed to replicate different weapon configurations. The kit also includes the AGE-1's distinctive shield and two Beam Saber hilts that can be used with long or short effects to reproduce the Beam Sabers and Beam Daggers.

The hilts of the melee weapons can be stored directly in the side armor of the waist, while the DODS Rifle can be attached to the back of the model when not in use. The numerous articulations allow for the reproduction of both shooting poses and close-combat scenes inspired by the series.

The glowing parts of the head and torso are replicated using dedicated parts and metallic stickers, while the provided markings and decals help emphasize the level of detail characteristic of a Master Grade.

Gunpla Zone Tips

The Gundam AGE-1 Normal has many large clear surfaces ideal for panel lining. The details added specifically for this Master Grade version particularly stand out with a light panel lining on the white parts.

The various markings provided help accentuate the mechanical aspect of the model without requiring full painting. For a more uniform finish, applying a top coat after decal placement will also protect the markings.

When handling the interchangeable-finger hands, we recommend holding the palm directly rather than forcing the fingers to preserve the small joints and attachment points.
