The HG 1/144 Infinite Justice Gundam & Booster Unit - SEED FREEDOM ZERO from Bandai Spirits offers a new configuration of the famous ZGMF-X19A Infinite Justice Gundam for Mobile Suit Gundam SEED FREEDOM ZERO. Associated with Athrun Zala, the Infinite Justice returns here with deeply updated equipment, including an imposing, all-new Booster Unit and a new shield specifically developed for its appearance in the film.

This version retains the immediately recognizable identity of the Infinite Justice Gundam: a machine specialized in high-mobility close-quarters combat, characterized by its red and pink silhouette, its numerous beam-based armaments, and a design that allows Athrun to utilize an extremely dynamic fighting style.

An imposing, entirely new Booster Unit

The main novelty of this SEED FREEDOM ZERO version is its large, newly sculpted Booster Unit. Considerably more imposing than standard back-mounted equipment, it radically transforms the silhouette of the Mobile Suit and gives the Infinite Justice a much more massive aerial configuration.

Bandai Spirits notably presents a Booster Attached Form, in which the Infinite Justice is combined with this large additional unit. The first official visuals show a configuration heavily inspired by an aircraft, further reinforcing the Gundam's role in high-speed operations.

The Booster Unit constitutes a major component of the kit rather than a simple decorative accessory. Its size and various mechanical surfaces significantly increase the model's footprint once fully assembled.

New Hayato no Tate shield

This version also introduces the Hayato no Tate, a new shield appearing in Gundam SEED FREEDOM ZERO. Its design stands out significantly from the traditional Infinite Justice shield and brings new offensive possibilities to the Mobile Suit.

The Hayato no Tate features several sections capable of housing Beam Blade effects, particularly on its upper and side parts. It thus functions as both a defensive piece of equipment and a genuine close-quarters weapon, in line with the philosophy of the Infinite Justice.

The box includes a total of two shields, allowing for the various equipment configurations planned for this version.

A particularly complete arsenal of Beam effects

Faithful to Athrun Zala's combat style, the Infinite Justice features numerous Beam effects designed to highlight its various melee weapons. The kit includes a complete set of transparent parts to replicate the Mobile Suit's characteristic energy attacks.

The Beam Saber effects use gradient molding, a process adopted by Bandai Spirits on several new SEED FREEDOM ZERO kits. The variation in color is integrated directly into the transparent part to provide more depth and intensity to the blade without the need for painting.

Beam Rifle and close-quarters combat

The kit naturally includes a Beam Rifle, allowing the Infinite Justice to be equipped for ranged combat while retaining its imposing arsenal for close-quarters engagements.

A set of Beam Sabers is also provided. These weapons can be used with the various Beam effects to replicate the numerous offensive poses characteristic of the Infinite Justice.

A wire for deployed equipment

Bandai Spirits also provides a flexible wire to stage certain equipment in a deployed configuration or separated from the main body. This accessory further expands display possibilities and makes it possible to reproduce attacks that would be impossible with simple rigid parts.

The Infinite Justice before Gundam SEED FREEDOM

Mobile Suit Gundam SEED FREEDOM ZERO takes place after the events of Mobile Suit Gundam SEED DESTINY and before those of the Gundam SEED FREEDOM film. This version thus allows for the exploration of an intermediate stage in the evolution of the Infinite Justice before the subsequent appearance of the Infinite Justice Gundam Type II.

The new Booster Unit and the Hayato no Tate give this configuration a particularly distinct identity while retaining the general design of the ZGMF-X19A. The kit thus becomes especially interesting to display alongside the classic Infinite Justice and the Infinite Justice Gundam Type II to illustrate the machine's evolution throughout the SEED timeline.

About Gunpla and Plamo

Gunpla (Gundam Plastic Model) and Plamo (Plastic Model) refer to the famous Japanese assembly models, which have become an essential reference for model-making enthusiasts, science fiction fans, and Japanese culture aficionados. Popularized by Bandai's Mobile Suit Gundam license, Gunpla now includes hundreds of models inspired by the most emblematic Gundam series, films, and universes.

Beyond Gundam, the world of Plamo brings together many ranges produced by renowned manufacturers such as Bandai, Kotobukiya, Good Smile Company, Max Factory, Wave, and Aoshima. Robots, mechs, characters, creatures, vehicles, or original universes, Japanese model kits offer an assembly experience accessible to both beginners and experienced modelers.

Most modern kits are designed to be assembled without glue thanks to a high-precision snap-fit system. Depending on the range, models can also offer advanced articulation, interchangeable accessories, visual effects, decals, and numerous customization possibilities using paint, panel lining, or modeling tools.

Among the most popular ranges are Gunpla Gundam, the RG (Real Grade), MG (Master Grade), HG (High Grade), PG (Perfect Grade) series, but also the 30 Minutes Missions (30MM), 30 Minutes Fantasy (30MF), Figure-rise Standard, Moderoid, Frame Arms, Hexa Gear, Megami Device universes, and many other references from the world of Plamo.

Whether you're looking for your first Gunpla, a collectible Gundam model, or a more technical Japanese model kit, Plamo is a fascinating hobby that combines construction, creativity, collecting, and display through increasingly detailed and innovative models.

Gunpla & Plamo FAQ

Do you need glue to assemble a Gunpla?

Most modern Gunpla and Plamo are designed to be assembled without glue, thanks to an interlocking parts system.

Should you paint a Gunpla?

No. Bandai kits and most Japanese models are molded in colors close to the final rendering. Painting remains optional.

Which Gunpla should I choose to start with?

HG (High Grade) and Entry Grade lines are generally the most accessible for beginners assembling Gundam models.

What is the difference between HG, RG, MG, and PG?

Grades correspond to the level of detail, size, and complexity of the kit. HGs are the simplest, while PGs represent the most detailed models.

What is a Plamo?

The term Plamo is a contraction of "Plastic Model" in Japan. It encompasses Gundam Gunpla as well as many other models produced by Bandai, Kotobukiya, Good Smile Company, and other manufacturers.

How long does it take to build a Gunpla?

Depending on the model, assembly can take between one hour for an Entry Grade and several tens of hours for some Master Grade or Perfect Grade models.

What tools are recommended for assembly?

A hobby side cutter, a precision knife, and files or abrasives are the most commonly used tools to achieve a clean result.
