The thrill of elite assault and lightning destruction takes over your collection with the HGUC 1/144 MS-18E Kämpfer. A legendary raid machine piloted by Mikhail Kaminsky as part of Zeon's Cyclops Team in the unforgettable OVA series Mobile Suit Gundam 0080: War in the Pocket, this heavy fighter alone embodies the concept of absolute offensive power. This model from Bandai's High Grade Universal Century (HGUC) line captures the aggressive, fluid, and heavily armored aesthetic of this icon, providing perfect proportions, increased stability, and vibrant colors.

A Devastating Assault Arsenal and the Fearsome Chain Mine

The HGUC Kämpfer stands out with its cutting-edge engineering, allowing it to carry its full array of annihilation weapons, designed to raze an entire base in minutes:

  • Chain Mine: The most terrifying weapon in the kit. This chain of individual explosive mines is fully articulated thanks to a flexible internal cable, allowing you to wrap the mines around enemy Mobile Suits to recreate the mythical destruction of the NT-1 Alex.
  • Two Shotguns: Signature equipment of the Kämpfer, these two close-range shotguns are included (one with a shoulder stock, the other without), and can be neatly stored on the mecha's rear skirt.
  • Two Giant Bazookas: The kit includes two massive rocket launchers with articulated handles for destructive cross-fire poses. They can be attached to the back using dedicated connectors on the backpack.
  • Two Sturm Fausts: These disposable grenade launchers, typical of Zeon, clip firmly onto the leg armor to maximize the heavy combat profile.

Remarkable Freedom of Movement from Bandai

This 1/144 scale model demonstrates Bandai's expertise in successfully combining a heavily equipped silhouette with excellent posability. Despite its massive shoulder pads with attitude thrusters and robust legs, the Kämpfer maintains superb mobility in the torso and hips. The arm joints allow it to manipulate and shoulder its bazookas simultaneously or wield its two Beam Sabers housed in its thighs. True to the Snap-Fit principle, assembly is done entirely without glue or paint for a clean, neat finish, ready to be displayed.

HGUC Kämpfer 1/144 Kit Features:

  • Series: Mobile Suit Gundam 0080: War in the Pocket (Universal Century)
  • Scale: HGUC 1/144 (approx. 13 cm in height when assembled)
  • Contents: Pre-colored plastic runners (characteristic Prussian blue, vibrant yellow, red, and mechanical gray), two Giant Bazookas, two Shotguns, two Sturm Fausts, two translucent yellow beam sabers, an articulated chain mine, finishing sticker sheet, and step-by-step illustrated assembly manual.
  • Difficulty: Very accessible, essential for any fan of Zeon designs looking for a kit with an aggressive visual presence and an extraordinary arsenal.

About Gunpla and Plamo

Gunpla (Gundam Plastic Model) and Plamo (Plastic Model) refer to the famous Japanese assembly models, which have become an essential reference for model-making enthusiasts, science fiction fans, and Japanese culture aficionados. Popularized by Bandai's Mobile Suit Gundam license, Gunpla now includes hundreds of models inspired by the most emblematic Gundam series, films, and universes.

Beyond Gundam, the world of Plamo brings together many ranges produced by renowned manufacturers such as Bandai, Kotobukiya, Good Smile Company, Max Factory, Wave, and Aoshima. Robots, mechs, characters, creatures, vehicles, or original universes, Japanese model kits offer an assembly experience accessible to both beginners and experienced modelers.

Most modern kits are designed to be assembled without glue thanks to a high-precision snap-fit system. Depending on the range, models can also offer advanced articulation, interchangeable accessories, visual effects, decals, and numerous customization possibilities using paint, panel lining, or modeling tools.

Among the most popular ranges are Gunpla Gundam, the RG (Real Grade), MG (Master Grade), HG (High Grade), PG (Perfect Grade) series, but also the 30 Minutes Missions (30MM), 30 Minutes Fantasy (30MF), Figure-rise Standard, Moderoid, Frame Arms, Hexa Gear, Megami Device universes, and many other references from the world of Plamo.

Whether you're looking for your first Gunpla, a collectible Gundam model, or a more technical Japanese model kit, Plamo is a fascinating hobby that combines construction, creativity, collecting, and display through increasingly detailed and innovative models.

Gunpla & Plamo FAQ

Do you need glue to assemble a Gunpla?

Most modern Gunpla and Plamo are designed to be assembled without glue, thanks to an interlocking parts system.

Should you paint a Gunpla?

No. Bandai kits and most Japanese models are molded in colors close to the final rendering. Painting remains optional.

Which Gunpla should I choose to start with?

HG (High Grade) and Entry Grade lines are generally the most accessible for beginners assembling Gundam models.

What is the difference between HG, RG, MG, and PG?

Grades correspond to the level of detail, size, and complexity of the kit. HGs are the simplest, while PGs represent the most detailed models.

What is a Plamo?

The term Plamo is a contraction of "Plastic Model" in Japan. It encompasses Gundam Gunpla as well as many other models produced by Bandai, Kotobukiya, Good Smile Company, and other manufacturers.

How long does it take to build a Gunpla?

Depending on the model, assembly can take between one hour for an Entry Grade and several tens of hours for some Master Grade or Perfect Grade models.

What tools are recommended for assembly?

A hobby side cutter, a precision knife, and files or abrasives are the most commonly used tools to achieve a clean result.
